Raindrops II

She sits in the dark night as the raindrops fall down from the sky.
The tiny orbs of water caress her skin as she weeps uncontrollably.
The tears she spills forth from her eyes, falling as fast as the rain.
She buries her face into her hands, hoping it will work.. stop them.

They started silently, trying to presuade her to come to them.
She knows she must fight them, battle them at every single turn.
Her mind races, hoping to figure out a way to make them go away.
Her tears flow down her face, her hands beating softly on her head.

The force of the demons within her, nearly too strong to deny anymore.
She pulls her hands weakly from her head, weeping for what is lost.
Her sanity pulled from her grasp, her resolve shattered to pieces.
They break through her last barrier, cloaking her soul in darkness.

"It's time." They say. She looks up and straight into his eyes.
Her beloved.. The one she fought hard to keep her sanity for.
Her heart breaking in two, distraught over what she must do.
She kisses his lips, holds him one final time with in her arms.

She hold on, hoping he can keep hold of her, not ever let her go.
She sobs harder into his chest as they begin pull her from him.
She looks into his loving eyes and whispers, "Remember me, always."
"I love you. i will be eternally yours." ..as she starts to fade away.

He pulls her to him, refusing to let go as he shouts something in the air,
"You will not take her! She is mine and I will not release her soul, ever!"
The demons inside her subside, they cannot win this battle against him.
They part from her for now, but they'll be back when she is weak again.

He holds her close to him, whispering words of love and adoration.
She continues to weep against him, partly overjoyed the demons are gone.
Partly because she was too weak and fraile to fight them off on her own.
He leans close to whisper, "You are mine. I will never let go. I love you."
